Growth: New Machines

There are three ways a fleet pays for robots.

1. The raise

Part of every raise (for example 50%) sits in a vendor escrow. Each robot is set up, tested, and gets its peaqID. The vendor is paid for it only once it signs its first job.

2. Premium sales

When people value the fleet above its backing, it sells new tokens.

  • Only after payback.
  • Only when the price is at least 5% over MAV.
  • New tokens sell at market less 3%.
  • MAV per token goes to the reserve. The extra goes to the growth escrow.
  • Each sale is capped at 25% of tokens held by traders.

With auto-growth on, a sale opens by itself at 1.35× MAV.

3. The pool loan

After payback, the fleet can borrow against its reserve. See Lending Desk.

Buying robots

  1. The manager orders robots, paid from the growth escrow.
  2. Setup takes about 2 days.
  3. Escrow is held until the new robots sign a day of work.
  4. They join the fleet and count toward backing at cost less wear.
